Frequently Asked Questions

Get clear answers on IC++ pricing, savings vs. blended rates, supported payment methods, and what it takes to get started.
What is IC++ pricing and how does Cost+ use it?
IC++ (Interchange Plus Plus) is a transparent payment pricing model that separates every fee into three visible components: the interchange fee set by the cardholder's bank, the scheme fee charged by card networks like Visa or Mastercard, and a flat processor margin. Cost+ passes interchange and scheme fees through at cost and adds only a flat 0.50% margin plus EUR 0.15 per authorization, so merchants see exactly what each part costs on every transaction.
How much can merchants save by switching to Cost+ from a blended-rate provider?
With Cost+, merchants can save up to 40% on payment processing compared to blended-rate providers. For example, on a EUR 100 transaction a blended provider might charge 1.85% (EUR 1.85), whereas Cost+ IC++ pricing could total around 0.95% (EUR 0.95) — a saving of EUR 0.90 per transaction, or roughly 49% less on that example.
Does Cost+ charge monthly fees or require long-term contracts?
No. Cost+ operates on a pure pay-as-you-go model with zero monthly subscriptions, zero gateway fees, and no long-term contracts. Merchants only pay when they process transactions — there are no setup fees, exit fees, or minimum terms.
What payment methods and countries does Cost+ support?
Cost+ supports over 900 payment methods across more than 100 countries through its Tier-1 global acquiring partners. Accepted methods include Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Nordic wallets like MobilePay, Vipps, and Swish.
Is Cost+ PCI compliant and what uptime does it guarantee?
Yes, Cost+ is PCI DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of payment security certification. The platform guarantees 99.99% uptime, ensuring reliable payment processing for merchants around the clock.
