Visa & Mastercard — Payment Method

The Power of Global Schemes. The Transparency of Cost+.

"Blended rates" like 1.35% are a trap — they hide profit margins inside a single opaque number. With Cost+ IC++ pricing, you see every fee component: interchange, scheme, and our flat margin. Debit savings are passed directly to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

IC++ rates, markup transparency, global coverage, and 3D Secure inclusion for card transactions.
What are the IC++ interchange rates for EU debit and credit cards?
EU Debit cards have interchange rates of approximately 0.20%–0.30%, EU Credit cards run 0.30%–0.60%, and Non-EU/Corporate cards are 1.00%–2.00%+. Cost+ passes these rates through at cost with zero markup on interchange.
Why is IC++ better than blended pricing for Visa and Mastercard?
Blended rates like 1.35% apply the same percentage regardless of card type, hiding the actual cost. With IC++, a EUR 100 EU debit transaction might cost only 0.20% interchange + 0.15% scheme + 0.50% margin = 0.85% total, versus 1.35% with a blended provider — saving 37% on that transaction.
Does Cost+ mark up interchange or scheme fees?
No. Cost+ passes through both interchange fees and scheme fees at exact cost with zero markup. The only component they control is their flat 0.50% margin plus EUR 0.15 authorization fee.
Does Cost+ support Visa and Mastercard globally?
Yes. Through Tier-1 acquiring partnerships, Cost+ processes Visa and Mastercard transactions across 100+ countries. IC++ pricing applies regardless of the card's country of origin, with the interchange rate reflecting the actual card type.
Are 3D Secure fees included for Visa and Mastercard transactions?
Yes. Cost+ includes 3D Secure 2.0 authentication at no extra cost, bundled into the EUR 0.15 authorization fee. Many competitors charge EUR 0.03 or more per 3DS authentication as a separate line item.
