Frequently asked questions

How do IC++ and blended pricing differ?

IC++ separates the actual interchange and card-scheme costs from the Cost+ margin. Blended pricing combines them into a published rate for your card type and region. Both include acquiring through Cost+. Applicable fixed fees are charged in addition to the percentage rate. Amex has its own rate.

What does a full or partial refund cost?

A fixed fee applies to each successful refund, whether full or partial. With acquiring through Cost+, use the refund fee in your currency's fee schedule. Gateway Only charges the same risk-specific gateway fee as a successful payment. Original payment fees remain with the original sale and are not charged again for the refund.

Are there setup or monthly fees?

No setup fee. No monthly fee. No separate 3-D Secure fee.

Which payment methods can I accept?

Cost+ supports cards including Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and Nordic payment methods such as MobilePay, Vipps and Swish. Availability depends on your country, business and integration. Swish requires your own agreement with your bank. Apple Pay and Google Pay are not available through Cost+ on Shopify.

How secure and reliable is Cost+?

Cost+ uses PCI DSS Level 1 payment infrastructure with 99.99% uptime.

How do I start accepting payments with Cost+?
