Frisbii alternative

A gateway fee plus an acquirer, or one contract

Frisbii, the unified brand that includes the former Reepay and Billwerk+ products, lists its standalone gateway at EUR 19 per month + EUR 0.08 per transaction. The gateway license is included without a separate license fee inside a Frisbii Recurring Billing plan, but transaction and third-party fees can still apply. Card acquiring requires a separate agreement and is billed by the acquirer at the merchant's agreed rates. Cost+ combines gateway, acquiring and 3DS in one IC++ contract with no monthly fee.

Merchant eligibility

The acquirer makes the approval decision

Frisbii says merchants need an acquirer agreement before processing cards and certain other payment methods. Each acquirer applies its own approval criteria, assesses factors such as business model, transaction volume and region, and makes the final approval decision. Merchants should confirm eligibility with the relevant acquirer. Cost+ eligibility is also subject to underwriting and risk review.

Why Cost+

Compare the full payment setup

A distinct gateway layer

Frisbii lists its standalone gateway at EUR 19 per month + EUR 0.08 per transaction. The gateway license is included without a separate license fee in a Frisbii Recurring Billing plan, while transaction and applicable third-party fees remain separate.

Acquiring is a separate agreement

Frisbii is acquirer-agnostic. A merchant can bring an acquirer or apply to a partner acquirer through the platform, but the acquirer approves the account and bills card processing at the merchant's agreed rates.

One Cost+ agreement

Cost+ charges interchange + card scheme fee + a 0.50% margin + EUR 0.15 per authorization in one agreement. The formula covers gateway, acquiring and 3DS and has no monthly fee.
Fee comparison

Cost+ and the Frisbii setup side by side

Frisbii's gateway and the merchant's acquiring agreement are separate cost layers. Its linked fee material includes example payment-method charges, but says third-party fees vary by volume, acquirer, payment method and the merchant's individual agreement.

Frequently asked questions

Answers based on Frisbii's English and Danish gateway pricing pages and its linked fee material.
Frisbii's English page lists the standalone gateway at EUR 19 per month + EUR 0.08 per transaction, with processing fees depending on the acquirer and payment method. The gateway license is included without a separate license fee inside a Frisbii Recurring Billing plan. Transaction fees and applicable third-party fees can still apply.
Assumptions: 500 transactions per month at an average basket of EUR 100, all online EEA consumer Visa transactions, using the standalone gateway rather than a Recurring Billing plan, with no refunds or disputes. Monthly volume is EUR 50,000; annual volume is EUR 600,000 across 6,000 transactions. The Frisbii gateway layer costs EUR 19 + EUR 40 from 500 x EUR 0.08 = EUR 59 per month. Annually it costs EUR 228 + EUR 480 = EUR 708. Card acquiring is excluded from these totals and is billed separately by the acquirer at the merchant's agreed rates, so EUR 59 monthly and EUR 708 annually are not total payment-processing costs.
Frisbii says an acquirer agreement is required before card processing. The setup therefore has a Frisbii gateway relationship and a separate acquiring agreement. The selected acquirer approves the merchant and bills acquiring at the merchant's agreed rates. Cost+ combines gateway and acquiring in one contract.
Frisbii advertises more than 50 payment methods, including Vipps MobilePay, Klarna, SEPA Direct Debit and PayPal, subject to supported configurations. It describes card tokenisation and automatic card updates as a paid add-on. Routing, chargeback tools and settlements are available only with supported acquirers and configurations.
Frisbii says each acquirer applies its own approval criteria and assesses applications using factors such as the merchant's business model, transaction volume and region. The final decision rests with the acquirer. Merchants should confirm current eligibility with the relevant acquirer.
