Cannabis & HempProcessing, Built Right
Where Others See Risk, We See a Business.
Where Stripe says "No," we say "Let's make it work." As a direct ISO/TSP, we don't just accept high-risk merchants — we specialize in them. We use our direct relationships with acquiring banks to fight for your approval, build your case, and get you processing.
Our ISO/TSP status means we sit at the table with the banks. We can vouch for your business model, explain your compliance posture, and advocate for fair terms. That's the difference between a generic aggregator and a specialized payment partner.

NO HIDDEN FEES
No "High-Risk Surcharges." Just Transparent Pricing.
Cannabis-adjacent businesses often face processing rates of 5-8% — or outright rejection — because processors can't (or won't) distinguish between a hemp seed supplier and an illegal dispensary.

Cost+ takes the time to understand your specific business model and applies IC++ pricing based on actual risk characteristics: Interchange + Card Scheme Fee + our margin. If you're operating a compliant, legal business in the hemp and cannabis space, your processing rate should reflect that — not penalize you for your industry's reputation.

Frequently Asked Questions
Supported business types, regulatory compliance, account separation, and the changing legal landscape.
Does Cost+ process payments for cannabis and hemp businesses?
Cost+ processes payments for approved hemp-product sellers and cannabis-related businesses. The acquiring agreement defines the products, licences, markets and business model covered. Hemp seeds, CBD and other cannabis products are assessed by their actual category and intended markets.
What kinds of cannabis-related business can apply?
Applications can include hemp-product manufacturers, seed retailers and ancillary service providers. CBD, ingestible products and other cannabis goods need their own product and market assessment. Operating in a legal market does not mean every product qualifies for card acceptance.
What happens if cannabis rules or my product range change?
Your approved products and markets form the basis of the acquiring agreement. Changes to licences, product ranges or sales countries may require a new review before those sales can be processed. Payment approval does not replace the permissions your business needs to sell its products.
Do cannabis products need a separate merchant account?
A dedicated merchant ID identifies the approved business. If you sell different product categories, the acquiring partner decides whether separate merchant IDs are needed and how each is classified. A separate ID does not extend approval to products or countries outside the agreement.
What compliance checks are involved for cannabis and hemp businesses?
The review covers the company and its owners, the full product catalogue, sales countries and relevant licences or product documents. These checks establish the proposed payment-processing scope. Transaction records support ongoing account review, while product legality remains a separate business responsibility.
