Frequently Asked Questions

Answers based on Quickpay's Danish price list, acquirer guidance and service terms.
The Merchant account is 99 DKK/month plus 0.25 DKK per transaction. For Visa and Mastercard processed through Quickpay, the price list shows no additional payment-method transaction fee and an acquiring fee from 1.35% (minimum 0.75 DKK) plus 0.22 DKK. Quickpay's guidance separately says an acquirer agreement is required. The Other payment methods add-on costs an additional 30 DKK/month and 0.25 DKK per relevant transaction for external acquirers and listed providers. All cited Quickpay prices exclude VAT.
Assumptions: 500 transactions each month at an average basket of 400 DKK, for 200,000 DKK/month and 2,400,000 DKK/year; 100% EU consumer debit Visa or Mastercard; Quickpay's published starting acquiring rate of 1.35%; and no add-ons. The 0.75 DKK minimum is not triggered because 1.35% of 400 DKK is 5.40 DKK. Quickpay is 99 + (500 x 0.25) + (200,000 x 1.35%) + (500 x 0.22) = 3,034 DKK/month. At the same activity for 12 months, it is 1,188 + 1,500 + 32,400 + 1,320 = 36,408 DKK/year, excluding VAT. For Cost+, assuming 0.20% interchange, 0.10% scheme fee and the 0.50% margin, the percentage component is 1,600 DKK/month and 19,200 DKK/year; the EUR 0.15 authorization component is EUR 75/month and EUR 900/year. The DKK and EUR components are intentionally not combined.
Quickpay's Danish price list places Dankort in the Other payment methods add-on, which costs an additional 30 DKK/month and 0.25 DKK per transaction. Quickpay's Dankort guidance also says a Nets acquiring agreement is required.
Quickpay's published price list does not state general specialist-industry eligibility criteria. Its guidance says card acceptance requires an acquirer agreement, so a merchant should confirm the precise business model with Quickpay and the relevant acquirer before applying. Cost+ considers specialist merchants subject to underwriting and risk assessment.
Quickpay's current guidance says the merchant needs an acquirer agreement in addition to the Quickpay account. Its service terms say acquiring agreements are between the merchant and the acquirer and that Quickpay is not a party to those agreements. Some listed payment methods also require an agreement with the relevant provider.
