Do I need my own acquiring agreement?

Yes. Gateway Only works with your own acquiring agreement. Cost+ provides routing, vaulting and reporting, while your acquirer handles acquiring under your separate agreement.

Which actions does Cost+ charge for on Gateway Only?

Gateway Only charges the same risk-specific gateway fee for each successful transaction and each successful refund. No settlement, pre-dispute or chargeback fees apply.

Are unsuccessful payment or refund attempts charged?

No. Cost+ charges the gateway fee only for successful transactions and successful refunds. Your acquirer's separate agreement determines any charges it may apply.

What does a full or partial refund cost?

Each successful refund, whether full or partial, is charged the same gateway fee as a successful transaction at your risk level. Original payment fees remain with the original payment; your acquirer’s charges are separate.

Why are there two Gateway Only prices?

The gateway rate depends on whether your business is assessed as low risk or high risk. Both fee schedules are shown in your selected currency. For either risk level, a successful transaction and a successful refund cost the same gateway fee.
